If you are giving a gift card, then the packaging should be fancy, so it feels festive and looks inviting. Today I have an easy tutorial for you so you can make these adorable gift bags for your gift cards.

Here’s what I used, you can substitute with your favourites;
Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) - 9 1/2” x 4”.
Very Vanilla card stock - 5 1/2” x 3 1/2”
Perfectly Paid stamp set
Night of Navy ink
14” of 1/2” Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Pretty Peacock, cut in half
Scrap of DSP, and Copper Foil Sheet - to punch trees
Copper Washi Tape (from Tags & More Accessory Kit)
Tissue Paper
Pine Tree Punch
Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder
Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Along the long side, score it at 4, 4 1/4, 4 1/2, and 8 1/2. The 3 middle score lines will get folded in a mountain fold as shown in the photo below, and the last 1” will fold over to create the flap on the front of the bag.

Make the inside piece to hold the gift card.
Stamp your sentiment on the Very Vanilla card stock, fold at score line and secure with Washi Tape wrapped around to the back.

Punch 2 holes in the front flap, and the back to thread your ribbon through. Glue the front flap down with liquid glue.
Thread ribbon through back holes and secure. Run a strip of liquid glue along the top, and glue small strips of tissue paper to stick up over the top edge of the bag. Glue the inside gift card holder piece over the back ribbon and tissue paper bottoms, leaving the inside neat and tidy.

Punch one tree in Copper Foil and emboss with the Swirls and Curls embossing folder. Punch a second tree in DSP. Glue both to front of bag.

That’s it! You now have a super cute Gift Bag, that holds a gift card. All wrapped and ready to go.
Happy Packaging!!
